Dr. Dilek Yargan is a philosopher and mathematician interested in applied ontologies, philosophy of artificial intelligence, and applied category theory. She is working as a postdoc researcher in the DFG project at the University of Rostock.

Prof. Dr. Oliver Betz, Evolutionary Biology of Invertebrates, Institute of Evolution and Ecology, University of Tübingen, will contribute his expertise on functional and constructional morphology and biomimetics.

Prof. Dr. Georg Fuellen, Director of the Institute for Biostatistics and Informatics in Medicine and Ageing Research at the Medical School Rostock, will contribute his expertise on scientific methods in biomedicine and the life sciences.

Petter Sandstad BA MPhil, MCS fellow at the University of Reading and PhD student in Rostock and former researcher in the DFG-funded project “Formal Causation”, will contribute his expertise on causation and explanation.

Prof. Dr. Thomas Speck, Plant Biomechanics Group, University of Freiburg, Germany, will support the project as a former speaker of the SFB TRR 141 and current representative of the Competence Network Biomimetics (www.kompetenznetz-biomimetik.de).
